UNITORQ flame proof fail-safe brakes are specially designed for use in highly hazardous and toxic industrial environments where conventional non-flameproof equipment is not recommended due to safety concerns. These brakes are manufactured in compliance with IS/IEC 60079 (Part 1):2014 standards for flameproof enclosures.

Our brakes are certified and approved by the Central Mining Research Institute (CMFRI) for Gas Group I, II-A, and II-B, making them suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas. They are designed to operate within the T6 temperature classification, ensuring safe and reliable performance under critical conditions.

UNITORQ brakes are electromagnetically actuated, single-disc type with dual friction surfaces. The braking force is applied through robust compression springs, ensuring automatic engagement during power-off or power failure conditions, thereby delivering true fail-safe operation.
